Govt digitises land records to make sales safe
The Delhi government’s revenue department has made all land records easily accessible to the public to prevent fraudulent transactions, corruption, and delays in registration. The digitized records of various types of lands and properties have been integrated with the Delhi Online Registration Information System (DORIS) portal. People can now check if a property is disputed or marked for demolition on the portal before making a deal. The details of disputed and acquired properties have been provided, and the data is still being updated. Sub-registrars have access to the central server to verify the authenticity of records before registration.
