Guru Pradosh Vrat 2023: Date, Time, Rituals and Significance

Guru Pradosh Vrat, a special day dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, will be observed on October 12, 2023. Devotees fast and offer prayers to seek blessings and fulfill their desires. The puja rituals include waking up early, taking a holy bath, offering flowers, sweets, and fruits, performing the puja in the evening, reciting prayers and mantras, and distributing prasad. It is believed that worshipping Lord Natraj can help overcome depression and negative thoughts. Consumption of onion, garlic, meat, and alcohol is prohibited on this day.
