Hamas attack spurs DGCA hang-glider curbs

India has tightened its rules for operating hang gliders after Hamas terrorists used paragliders to enter Israel and launch attacks. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has revised its rules for powered hang gliders, stating that no person can fly them without authorization from a DGCA approved examiner/instructor. The examiner/instructor must have at least 50 hours on powered hang gliders and 10 hours on dual machines.
