HC asks govt to form panel for Puri Ratna Bhandar inventory

The Orissa high court has directed the state government to form a high-level committee to supervise the inventory of valuables stored in the Ratna Bhandar of the Puri Jagannath Temple. The court endorsed the decision of the temple management committee to have the panel led by a retired high court or Supreme Court judge. The court also emphasized the importance of safety and transparency regarding the stored valuables. The committee is expected to be formed within 60 days upon the request of the temple management committee.
