Highest 1-day dengue cases recorded

Bihar has reported its highest single-day dengue cases this year, with 396 new cases and 15 deaths in September alone. The dengue tally in the state has crossed 6,000. The majority of deaths were in Bhagalpur, followed by Patna and Muzaffarpur. The state health department has advised people to seek symptomatic treatment and stay hydrated. Waterlogging in newly settled areas has been cited as a major reason for the increase in dengue cases.
