How gang used fake e-commerce sites to dupe several people

Indian police have uncovered a racket involving fake e-commerce websites that lure people with fake discounts and deals. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the scam, with financial analysis showing transactions worth over INR 25 lakh ($34,000) from 15 victims. The suspects created fraudulent offer links and gained access to victims’ bank accounts, extorting money from them. The police are now working to identify other members of the criminal network.
