IAF officer wanted for sex assault on 13-yr-old surrenders

A 54-year-old Indian Air Force officer, who had been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in June, and had been evading authorities, turned himself in at the sub-divisional magistrate’s court in Bhubaneswar on Monday. Korimili Venkata Sreenivas, whose family resides in the Old Town area of the Odisha capital, was on leave from his posting in Delhi when the alleged incident occurred. On June 28th, the Bhubaneswar police commissionerate filed a case against Sreenivas following a complaint made by the survivor’s mother, who is a close friend of his spouse.
