If water released to tn, b’luru won’t have any: Puttannaiah

Scores of farmers in Mysuru and Mandya, Karnataka, were briefly detained by police after they attempted to block roads in protest of the Cauvery water dispute. The farmers blamed the deputy chief minister and water resources minister for the crisis and demanded his removal from office. The protests are expected to continue, with some farmers calling for the scrapping of the Cauvery River Water Management Authority. Agriculture minister N Chaluvarayaswamy announced that a delegation would meet with the Prime Minister to discuss the situation.
