IMD sounds yellow alert for ghat sections in Pune

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for isolated areas in the ghat sections of Pune district for the next 12 hours. An orange alert has been issued for several districts in Madhya Maharashtra. A low-pressure area over southern Madhya Maharashtra is expected to bring rainfall to these areas for the next 48 hours. The rainfall is expected to decrease from October 4 onwards. On Saturday night, several areas in Pune district received good rainfall, with Lonavla recording 55 mm and Chinchwad recording 53 mm.
