China’s charge d’affaires, Ma Jia, stated that China and India are maintaining communication through diplomatic and military channels to normalize the border situation in eastern Ladakh. While China claims that the situation is returning to normal, India insists on resolving the military standoff before resuming normal bilateral exchanges.
