Indonesia bans iPhone 16: ‘The device is illegal, report it to us’ says minister

Indonesia has banned the iPhone 16 due to Apple’s unfulfilled investment commitments. The device is illegal without IMEI certification and cannot be sold or operated in the country. Apple’s pending investments and TKDN certification requirements must be met before sales permits are issued.
