Israel confirms death of IDF commander in battle in northern Gaza

Israeli brigade commander Colonel Ahsan Daksa was killed in a blast in Jabalia, northern Gaza, while fighting Hamas. Daksa, a Druze community member, was appointed four months ago and was leading the offensive. His death marks one of the highest-ranking Israeli officer fatalities in the year-long conflict.
