IT hiring likely to weaken, may hit campus placement

The weak demand scenario in the Indian IT industry is causing a decline in hiring growth for some companies. TCS was the only company among the top four to have a net addition of employees in the June quarter, while Infosys, Wipro, and HCL had headcount declines. Accenture’s muted net addition in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2023 may also affect the hiring trends in the Indian IT sector.
