Jharkhand HC directs DCs to implement order on sound pollution

The Jharkhand high court has ordered the implementation of a complete ban on loudspeakers, public address systems, and sound amplifiers from 10 pm to 6 am in the city. The court also stated that there should be no beating of drums, tomtoms, or blowing of trumpets during this time. Deputy commissioners have been instructed to notify officials who will handle complaints of sound pollution, and their contact information should be widely circulated. The court also declared a 100-meter radius around all hospitals and nursing homes as silence zones.
