Jharkhand HC finds defects in CM’s plea against ED

The Jharkhand high court has adjourned the hearing of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s petition challenging the summons issued to him by the Enforcement Directorate. Soren had filed the petition on September 23 and it was mentioned for hearing on October 11. However, the court found defects in the petition and directed Soren’s counsel to rectify them. The case will be listed for hearing again after the defects are removed. Soren had initially approached the Supreme Court, but it directed him to go to the high court first.
