Journalist detained for 3 years in China returns home to Australia

Australian journalist Cheng Lei has returned home after being released from detention in China, where she had been held on national security charges for over three years. Cheng, who was a business anchor for Chinese state television, had been accused of sharing state secrets with another country. She pleaded guilty to charges of illegally sending state secrets abroad and served a sentence of two years and 11 months before being deported.
