Jyotirmath seer says gold meant for Kedarnath missing, temple committee trashes charge

The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee refuted Swami Avimukteshwaranand’s claim of missing 228 kg gold, urging him to provide evidence. Chairman Ajendra Ajay accused him of pushing a Congress conspiracy. Supervised by the ASI, 23 kg gold and 1,001 kg copper worth Rs 14 crore were used. Priests demanded an inquiry into 528 gold and 230 silver plates.
