Labour rejects Kashmir motion

The UK’s Labour party has rejected a motion addressing alleged violence and rights abuses in Kashmir at its annual conference. The motion, supported by a party unit and Stoke-on-Trent Central CLP, called for the recognition of UN resolutions and a lasting settlement through collaboration between India, Pakistan, and the people of Kashmir. However, the motion did not receive enough votes to be debated.
