‘Life-saving surgery’: California doctors switch off half of 6-year-old girl’s brain

Doctors at Loma Linda University Health in California have successfully disconnected half of the brain of a 6-year-old girl suffering from Rasmussen’s Encephalitis. The ten-hour surgery aimed to stop daily seizures and learning disabilities caused by the inflammatory disease.
