Lok Sabha passes women’s reservation bill with 454-2 majority

The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed the women’s reservation bill, also called Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, with an overwhelming 454-2 majority.The bill proposes to give 33% reservation to women the lower house and legislative assemblies.The bill will now be taken up for discussion and voting in the Rajya Sabha.
