Maharashtra labour ministry issues notice to TCS: Complaint details

The labour ministry of Maharashtra has issued a notice to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) following a complaint filed by Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) regarding delayed onboarding of lateral recruits. NITES has requested that the affected employees be paid their full salaries for the months in which onboarding has been delayed, and TCS collaborate with them to identify alternative employment opportunities. TCS recently announced that it will slow down hiring due to a dip in demand, resulting in a reduction of 6,333 employees.
