MCG: Will hand over waste collection to RWAs if Ecogreen fails to step up

The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has issued a notice to waste management company Ecogreen, directing it to improve its door-to-door waste collection services in the city. If Ecogreen fails to improve within one week, the MCG will assign the task to residents’ welfare associations (RWAs) at Ecogreen’s expense. The MCG has identified nearly 60 areas where residents have complained of irregular waste collection. Ecogreen has stated that it is already collecting waste from most of the areas mentioned and will respond to the notice soon. Tenders for secondary waste collection have also been issued.
