More downpour, 9-yr-old drowns, Kuttanad suffers

Kerala experienced heavy rain in the central districts of Ernakulam and Pathanamthitta, even after the monsoon season officially ended. The rainfall caused flooding, submerging paddy fields and damaging houses. A nine-year-old boy drowned in Malappuram, and a person went missing in Thiruvananthapuram. Relief camps were set up in Kottayam, and eight families were relocated due to mudslides in Manjeri. The intensity of the rain is expected to decrease from Monday, but yellow alerts have been issued in certain districts. Rivers in Pathanamthitta were also overflowing, causing damage to a house.
