North Korea stages ‘tactical nuclear attack’ drill

North Korea conducted a simulated “tactical nuclear attack” drill on Saturday, firing two long-range cruise missiles towards the West Sea of the peninsula. The drill was carried out to “warn enemies” and demonstrate the country’s preparedness for nuclear war. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un also visited shipbuilding and munitions factories to emphasize the importance of strengthening the country’s naval forces.
