Norway activists renew protest against wind farm on land used by herders

Activists protested at Norway’s parliament over the government’s failure to shut down a wind farm that they believe threatens the livelihoods of Sami reindeer herders. The wind farm, consisting of 151 turbines, is Europe’s largest onshore wind farm. The activists argue that the transition to green energy should not come at the expense of the rights of Indigenous people.
