Now, 10% EWS quota in lower judicial services

The state cabinet in Bihar has approved a proposal to provide 10% reservation for economically weaker sections (EWS) in the lower judicial services. This increases the total quota in the lower judiciary to 60%, with 50% already existing for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, backward caste, and extremely backward caste groups. The cabinet has also allocated funds for the construction of veterinary hospitals, a resource training centre, road projects, and the building of Bihar Engineering University and Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Science City.
