Obese women get severe menopausal symptoms: Study

A new study, which will be presented at The Menopause Society’s Annual Meeting, reveals that obesity may increase menopause symptoms in women and decrease the effectiveness of hormone treatment (HT). The study, involving 119 patients over five years, found that women with obesity experienced higher prevalence of menopause symptoms and lower efficacy of hormone treatment.
