‘One nation, one election’ panel accepts Adhir’s resignation

The high-level committee on one nation, one election, chaired by former President Ram Nath Kovind, has accepted the resignation of leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury from the panel. The committee, which includes members such as Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, received a presentation on necessary constitutional amendments for simultaneous elections. The committee has also invited suggestions from various political parties and launched a website for stakeholders to provide input.
