OTT norms: Startups ask Trai to uphold net neutrality

Over 120 internet company founders, including Nithin Kamath of Zerodha and Vijay Shekhar Sharma of Paytm, have urged the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) to uphold net neutrality and avoid discriminatory practices against over-the-top (OTT) services. Telcos such as Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea have requested Trai to charge network usage fees on online services, which the founders argue would violate net neutrality.
