‘Overseas gift’: Foreigner held for duping woman

A 25-year-old African man has been arrested in New Delhi for running a scam where he tricked people into paying customs clearance charges for gifts sent from abroad. The man, identified as Big Jos from Ghana, would befriend women on social media and claim to be sending them gifts. He would then pose as a customs officer and ask for money to release the parcels. The accused admitted to targeting lonely and single women in this scam.
