Pakistan forces kill 9 militants in restive northwest

Pakistani security forces killed nine insurgents, including a key leader, during a shootout in Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Troops seized weapons and ammunition from the militants’ hideout. This operation comes amid a surge in militant attacks following the collapse of a truce with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in November 2022.
