Pawar advises against stirring up controversy over ‘wagh nakh’
NCP chief Sharad Pawar has urged that any controversy surrounding the ‘wagh nakh’, a weapon set to arrive in Maharashtra on loan, should be avoided. The state government claims it is the same weapon that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj used centuries ago. Pawar stated that experts’ differing opinions should be studied and no controversy should be created. He also mentioned that his faction will not align with the BJP and that the NCP’s alliance will finalize candidates for the upcoming assembly polls. Additionally, Pawar confirmed his attendance at the Election Commission of India hearing regarding the party split.
