PM congratulates UP for its ODF Plus feat

Uttar Pradesh has achieved its target of becoming open defecation free (ODF) Plus in all 95,767 villages, according to the second phase of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the state on this achievement, stating that it is an inspiration for the entire country. ODF Plus means that the villages also have waste management facilities in addition to being free from open defecation. Uttar Pradesh managed to cover all villages under this program and provided waste treatment facilities to over 80,000 villages within just nine months.
