Putin says West has lost touch with reality, Russia had to push back

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the United States of trying to impose its hegemony on the world and criticized the West for losing touch with reality during a meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club. Putin stated that Russia did not start the war in Ukraine, but rather is trying to end it. He described the United States as a “hegemon” that considers itself the sole arbiter of truth.
