Railways to run 7,000 extra trains for Diwali, Chhath

To accommodate the festive rush during Deepawali and Chhath, Indian Railways is operating at least 7,000 additional special trains from October 1 to November 30. This is a 60% increase over last year’s 4,429 trains. Specific arrangements include extra ticket counters, catering units, and enhanced security at stations.
