Rain no pain for India, Pakistan

Despite a washout due to rain, both India and Pakistan women’s cricket teams advanced to the semifinals of the Asian Games by virtue of being higher seeded teams. In the match between India and Malaysia, Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues showcased their skills before the game was abandoned. India posted a total of 173/2 in 15 overs. The other quarterfinal between Pakistan and Indonesia was also washed out. The semifinals will be played on Sunday.
