Raj leads in clean energy generation

Rajasthan has become a top producer of clean energy in India, with the share of fossil fuels in power generation hitting a record low of 50% from April to July 2023. Solar and wind power generation in the state grew by 28% year-on-year, producing 27 TWh in the same period. Combined with other clean sources, clean power generation in Rajasthan now equals that of fossil fuel-based generation. The state has attracted investments due to the rise in demand for clean power in other states and its high solar potential.
