Record 91 Indian varsities made it to THE World University Rankings

A record number of Indian universities have been featured in the latest Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings 2024. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore has returned to the global top 250 for the first time since 2017. The rankings also show that India now has 91 institutions on the list, up from 19 in 2016. Two Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have moved up the rankings, with Guwahati and Dhanbad joining the top 800 universities globally. The top three universities in the global rankings are the University of Oxford, Stanford University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
