Residents frustrated as Delhi’s digital tree-pruning process lags

By on October 5, 2023 0 6 Views

The forest department and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in India have introduced a digital process for tree pruning requests, aiming to simplify the process. However, residents have reported that there has been no improvement and confusion still persists. MCD claims to have received 409 pruning requests in the last six months, with permission granted in 205 cases. The forest department states that requests are cleared within 15 days, but incomplete information and a lack of staff have caused delays. Residents are frustrated with the slow progress and lack of updates on their requests.
