Rohit achieves twin milestones during WC match vs England

Rohit Sharma, in his 100th international match as captain, etched a memorable moment by completing 1000 runs in ODIs in the current year. The Indian skipper achieved the milestone during the ODI World Cup 2023 match against England at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday. More importantly, Rohit is the only skipper to have scored 1000 ODI runs in 2023 and third batter overall to attain the feat after compatriot Shubman Gill and Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka.
