Russia is set to avoid a full ban from the 2024 Paralympics in Paris

Russia’s full ban from the Paralympics in Paris has been avoided after the International Paralympic Committee members voted against suspending the country’s membership. A vote on whether to “partially suspend” Russia is scheduled, which would mean Russian competitors can participate but as neutral athletes without national symbols. Similar votes are also planned for Russia’s ally Belarus.
