Safety protocols go for a toss on CM’s return

Members of the Bharatiya Janata Party ignored safety protocols as they swarmed Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s helicopter upon his arrival at Bannu School premises in Dehradun. The breach of security comes after a tragic incident earlier this year when a finance officer lost his life due to a helicopter’s tail rotor blade. An inquiry has been ordered to investigate the security mismanagement and to establish clear parameters for such occasions. The probe will also focus on bolstering security measures at helipads and for VIPs.
