Sambhal school slapping: I tried to withdraw plaint but police refused, says father of victim boy

Nitin Tyagi, 40, father of the class V student on whose complaint Shaista Parveen, 26, a teacher in UP’s Sambhal, was sent to jail within a few hours of the FIR on Thursday, had asked the local police on Friday to withdraw the complaint but the cops refused and sent her to jail, claiming “it was too late”.
