Save building where Hazare once lived: Heritage lovers
Vijay Hazare’s 121-year-old bungalow in Vadodara, India, known as “Pushpakoot,” is facing demolition. The building, which holds historical significance as the residence of the late Indian cricket captain, has been approved for demolition by the state legal department. Heritage lovers have expressed disappointment and have requested that the building be preserved as part of Vadodara’s heritage. Efforts are being made to raise awareness and potentially develop the area as a heritage site. Suggestions have been made to design a new building on the same site while retaining the old structure.
