School closed for 2 days as tigress prowls in Pilibhit

A government primary school in Pilibhit, India has been temporarily closed due to the sighting of a stray tigress near the school premises. Forest officials have recommended that parents escort their children to and from school in groups for safety. Efforts to tranquilize the tigress have been unsuccessful so far. High nets have been installed around the school to prevent the tigress from entering the campus. There are currently no plans to relocate other schools in the area.
