‘She just walked away from me’: Red-district Dem’s awkward meeting with Kamala Harris

Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, representative for Washington’s 3rd district, recounted an awkward encounter with Vice President Kamala Harris at a Christmas party. She said she noticed that all garlands in the party were plastic. “I was strong-armed into taking a picture. I said, ‘Madam Vice President, we grow those where I live,’” Gluesenkamp told her but she didn’t pay any attention.
