Sikkim toll at 38, bodies found in Bengal, Bangladesh

The death toll in the glacial lake outburst flood in Sikkim has risen to 38, including four Army personnel. Most of the bodies were found downstream in Bengal’s Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Siliguri, while a few were retrieved from Bangladesh. Search and rescue operations have been intensified, with the rain stopping and water levels returning to normal. North Sikkim remains cut off due to roads being washed away and telecom infrastructure being destroyed.
