Chennai’s first driverless train for Metro phase-2 is set to arrive after a month’s delay. Alstom India will deliver it from Sricity by late September. It will run on the Porur-Poonamallee bypass line, opening in December 2025. The remaining trains are scheduled for delivery next year.
