EU delivers $2.7 billion ‘bad news’ to Google, claims its ‘shopping service’ cost billions
Google has faced a setback as it lost an appeal against a EUR 2.4 billion fine imposed by the EU for anti-competitive practices in 2017. The European Commission had fined Google for promoting its own price comparison service over competitors, adding to Google’s total EU antitrust fines of EUR 8.25 billion.
