Situation in UP favourable for Cong, says RLD state chief

The state unit chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal, Ramashish Rai, has expressed support for the Congress party ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Rai stated that the political situation in Uttar Pradesh is becoming favorable for the Congress, and the party should lead the opposition bloc. He also mentioned that the Congress has the potential to regain its status from the 2009 Lok Sabha elections in UP. Rai’s comments come amidst SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s efforts to position his party as the main opposition to the BJP in the state.
